Two-way interactive-continued
Reached an idea on what my game is. Its going to be a form of Ying and Yang. It relys on two players, theres no other way to play. So you have to search for people to play it. Theres various levels in which you work through. First level iv thought bout is the over and under. One persons a vampire the others a kid. One stays in the dark, one stays in the light. You have to work together to get to different light switchs, and traps so you can both make it to the end of the level. Talked to liz about it and been thinking that it would be 6 games per level. And you have to search for people who are on the ssame level as you. If youve alreadfy played a game you can replay it to help others complete, you also have the choice of which side you play.
Whether it would get to tedious for players though. Especially if they havent got many players in their area. May be months before someone else on the same level comes along. Theres also the fact of how they choose their character, whether its completely random or not.
The whole concept behind the game is co-operation. Two strangers playing a game helping each other through. But theres the 99% cetainty that its going to be played by two friends who are bored. More like a DS game than anything.
The other thing that Alans been talking about is the fact that the fun of playing a two player game is the fact the persons there, you can see their reaction, you can complain or hit them when they have done something thats gotten you both killed. And if your playing someone over bluetooth, you may not know who they are, so theirs no way in which you can get the human interaction. The only solutions iv had so far is along the lines of a pause=and message system. Pause the game then type what you want to the other player, but that would become way too tedious. The other option is a 'hit' option. I was picturing a worms like interface....the only problem with that is that on some levels(fire/ice) any contact and theyll kill each other. Got soem things to think about.....
