Last hours of d&ad

Advice for all future d&ad entrants. Finish your project a week earlier than intended, because stuff will go wrong. I learnt that the hard way. Last entrys are in next Thursday, but I only had until last Monday to finish it, since the homelands called to me. The previous Monday I thought all I had to do was layout my boards all else was fine, but there were so many little things in my work that needed additions to or tweaking I didn’t start my boards until Wednesday. Friday came and I thought I was done, except no tutors were around to sign forms or generally help since easter ‘had begun’. I did wat I could, tho I knew I could of done better, ran to get it printed at newi, where the old printers smudged all of my work and I couldn’t re-print due to the office being closed. AHHHH….i thought.
Plans were made to get work done at pronta print and mounting at home then running to the d&ad offices to hand it in. But on Monday liz and dan were about, who were able to look over my work, make amendments. WAHAY! But the only printer available was a dotmatrix that took about 40mins per sheet. By this time my dad had driven for 5 hours to pick me up and was sitting back with a cuppa watching the madness that is crunch time. Once it had all printed off, time for mounting. Took some time, but looked good☺ by the time we got them upstairs and all paper work printed and signed, one sheet had managed to obtain a big stain in the corner….so back to the printers. Wat intened to be about 2 hours in the hub tweaking work for prontaprint, turned into 8hours. Managed to leave about 6ish, back in Norwich for 10☺.
Think this was more of a rant for my sake cos, my head was buzzing at the end off all of it, as was liz and dans im sure.
This was just the hard way for me to find out about doomed deadlines. Ah well…only about 2 months and itll all happen again:D
